You're not going to get wealthy helping me make my next documentary. The payments I'm offering would be for giving advice I MIGHT use to solve problems I'm having. One payment would involve $70.00 US, and the other payments would be $20.00 US.

I've started work on a documentary to popularize the idea that people should be using their privately owned land, including urban yards, business property, farms, etc., to help threatened and endangered species. I want to interview 10 to 15 people worldwide who are already doing this to show it can be done, and to inspire land owners around the world to start thinking about what they might do to aid troubled species where they live.

I read 75% of the land on earth is privately owned. It's a vast untapped area that could be used to help many a down-and-out species.

The inspiration for this documentary comes from visits to my grandmother's in Minneapolis when I was a child. She had a neighbor with a garden who planted Milkweed in it to attract Monarch butterflies, not exactly a threatened species (yet?), but always nice to see.

I'm willing to pay $70.00 to anyone who comes up with the title I use for this film. I'm not certain what to call it, so I'm asking for your suggestions. Only titles in English will be considered, and you'll only be paid when I've decided what to call it.

I'll also pay $20.00 to anyone who suggests someone helping a species at risk - flora or fauna - that I end up interviewing on tape for the film.

Right now I haven't the money to make this film, but once I get 20 to 30 people or families willing to be interviewed around the world, it should be much easier to raise the money.

If you want to help me make this film in another way, send money to me. If you do, you will be mentioned in the credits at the end. However, because I'm not a non-profit , any money you send is NOT tax deductible.

And what if I never make the film because a larger producer - PBS, the BBC, National Film Board of Canada, National Geographic, the Discovery Channel, or some other producer - "borrows" the idea and makes it before I can? My goal is to popularize the idea that people should use their privately owned land to help threatened and endangered species, and if others "borrow" the idea to make a film (or films) that popularize the idea, I'll have accomplished my goal, and hopefully you'll be happy with that too.
